My name is Kenya Mitchell

     I am a devoted wife and dog-mom. Born & raised in St. Louis, MO. I've been creating art as long as I can remember (and loving it). Now I'm an adult doing what I love professionally. I recently received my Associates Degree in Fine Arts at STLCC. In the future I plan on furthering my education. Ultimately getting my own Studio/Gallery Space. I'm currently a Teachers Assistant with SLPS and Freelance Artist. I love to learn as well as helping instruct.

     As a creative so I just don't stop at one particular medium; I enjoy all forms of art (painting, drawing printmaking, digital, sewing etc.). I teach and host art parties, face- paint, commissions, create original works and volunteer my services whenever I can for whomever I can. For example, I've created many pieces of art for my church home The Tabernacle, I am able to share my gifts that God has blessed me with.

    I named my art business Pure Artistry; the name is just what is means PURE ART. When God us in his image , he also gave us the gift of his Beyond Beautiful Craftsmanship. With that we can give a glimpse of what the 6 days of creation was like; with just a stroke wrist or whatever else. I intend to create and help others through heART. I know its my purpose for using my gifts.
